This was not something Cesare should do, but for some odd reason, he felt like the lack of luck was about to change.
So he found himself sitting at the ground again, digging with his right hand while the left still was bound to his body. The swelling had gone down a bit, but it still hurt, so the possibility of uncovering a treasure was not the only reason why he was here. No, he wanted to find some sticks too, to keep his arm straight and minimize the damage.
It may be too late though, but it was still not something he used too much time thinking about. Come what may. He let his fingers dig into the dirt and felt the coolness it contained. It was weird, since the air was hot and the suns shined upon Alcryst as if it was a piece of bacon in a pan.
He had no luck here, so he got up and picked the spear from the ground. Maybe something was hiding between the bushes? That's where he would bury a treasure if he ever became a pirate. Slowly he walked over and found a spot with loose dirt before he sat down. His hand went into the earth again and stopped. Had he found something or was he blessed with the ability to find rocks?
