The snow fell silent, a cold burden on her fragile shoulders. Nostrils flared at the insolence of the frigidness near her, all around her. It was insufferable.
A careless glace to her posterior, a tuft of warm ice-lain crystals escaping from the strands of her lengthy locks. A huff escaped her, a childish tone to be sure, but one that solely encompassed her mood in this moment very accurately. It was well past the prime time to depart.
TIKH , TIKH , TIKH
Good grief, was that her? With disgust, she raised a chiseled foreleg ever so daintily, dropping her cranium to get a better look at her amber chunks. Mud dripped ever so clumsily to the ground, as gravity asserted its claim on the mulch. She snorted and withdrew, bringing her crown to the apex of her height, where it sat comfortably, as it should. The lady slammed her hoof into the ground, where the ground sucked at it eagerly like a newborn foal.

A cry of defeat sounded from behind her, echoing out of her past. The clomping of hooves sounded their way across the tundra-tic ground, her ears swiveled toward the sound as she turned to gather his position. There he was, as always, running after her, his ebony hulk streaming with sweat and meat and hunger, his hair a streaming mess, his chest heaving as his legs ate up the ground. He was coming - damn - he was coming and it had been less than an hour.
She turned herself, her emerald orbs stuck to his frame, watching his approach in apprehension. He was going to try and stop her, first with civility, then with force. But she knew him - she knew his methods better than he did. She knew what he would say, how he would try to first guilt her, then bribe her, then leave in a huff. He was so narrow-minded, he'd go back to his harem with no thoughts about her. But she'd be leaving him empty-handed, and both of them knew it. He was her best, and she didn't need him. But such was merely truth - fact.

"Where do you think you're going?" His voice was a boom, as he shuddered to a halt beside her. The heat pouring from him was a pleasant revive from the bitter chill from the atmosphere. She drank in his radiance from a distance. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction of a misinterpreted signal.
"I am leaving this dreadful place. It's such a detriment to my - well, everything." She stated simply, with a toss of her nose. He snorted, dropping her head low and shuffling a bit on his forelegs before meeting her eyes again. He stood taller than she, but only by a hair's breadth. She met his lusty brown eyes with her own steely azures.

"And you didn't even think to say goodbye?" He teased, and with a step he was less than a breath from her shoulder. His nickers reached out toward her ear, his booming presence was now the flicker of a whisper: "and I thought what we'd had had been unique. Do you really even know what you want?"
