Oh the drama; Stalker-turned-Savior!

I just had this idea and Brady mentioned throwing it here so HERE IT IS~ Even though there's only like four of us here but whatever idc.
I have Allhallow and Vayne Hallow, a mare-foal pair who have been traveling by themselves for quite some time after briefly traveling with another mare and a filly. Basically the idea is this; someone (human) has been following Hali and Vayne for an extended amount of time, taking notes and expanding research on horse stuff, with the result being that they are rather intimately (in a one sided fashion, since obviously Allhallow would not be cool with knowing a human is following her) acquainted with both horses and their personalities. They're a bit different from the rest of the horses because to the best of my knowledge they're the only ones who glow- perhaps this catches the potential scientist's interests? That and the chance to see a mare/foal bond in action that isn't obstructed by a herd dynamic.
This person will be able to know just from observation that Hali is a very aggressive mare when it comes to protecting her foal, either from perceived threats by other horses, or in the offchance that a predator attempts to take out the foal while mom is distracted (which is never). So this person is observing them goof off one day (Vayne loves playing chase, and Hali likes indulging Vayne every one in a while), and then WOOSH! Vayne slips and falls down into some type of deep ditch. I'd imagine that by this point the human would have a bit of an attachment to the horses, so obviously would be more inclined to try and help the trapped foal and his distressed mother, rather than sitting back and letting nature take its course. However there would also be the personal safety factor of having to deal with this mare that the human knows may try to kill them to protect her baby (she won't, obviously, because powerplaying is a no).
Annnnnnd that's all I got ;D Half the fun is leaving the plot open at the end~
