[PTabbedContent=Rothai]
[PTab=General]
Name: Rothai
Plural Name: Rothais
Pronunciation: ROW-thigh
Size: An average sized lion. No bigger than 250lbs.
Appearance: These beings range in colour from black to light brown. White is sometimes on their bellies. Their claws/nails are always black. They have the body of a lion, but they are always muscular and in shape. Their feet are not lion feet though, they are like pillars, and the claws/nails, as you could call them, end with tabbed nails. They have spurs at the ankles of all of their feet. Their back is lined with a line of thick scales, like those found on a dragon. These are normally black, but other variations of brown have been seen. Their head and face is that of a dragon, but with no scales. They have beautiful looking eyes and detail. Upon their head they have short horns, made of spirals, and they are like those of an antelope. They are always black. An image for reference is --here--. Permission is --Here--.
Credit for the image goes to --Brigid O'Kane--.
Prey: Everything. They eat plants and meat.

[PTab=Ages and Stages]
Rothai have been studied, by many unfortunate scientists, and they have come to the conclusion that a Rothai has 3 stages of life.
Youth
These Rothai are smaller, with less plates on their backs. They still behave like adults but they are less aggressive as they seem to know they are smaller. They will avoid you for the most part. If they attack then expect the parents to show up shortly after.
Adult
These Rothai are the most common and, thus, most commonly seen. They are definite threats to you. They are full sized, with the full plates on their back.
Elder
These Rothai are the fewest seen. They are normally eaten by the others if they show any sign of slowing down. They still stay in groups but they are the aggressive and reckless because of their lives up to that point. They have white patches on their backs and their plates may be white as well.

[PTab=Behaviour]
They are rude and cunning. They will taunt you to make you attack and then rip you apart. They always travel in groups of two or more, with the maximum being 6 at a time. They will fight you until one is severely injured (or dead), at which point they eat him, or until you die. So act quickly and hope for the best.
They seem to be around more during the summer. Why? Who knows. Winter is their least active season, leaving some to wonder if they hibernate.

[PTab=History]
No one is quite sure how they appeared. A farmer happened upon a pack one day, at which point he wounded one and fled while they ate the wounded. He told the city but no one believed him until others began being killed. They are a mysterious group of creatures.

[PTab=Killing]
So you may wonder, how do I kill such a beast? Well, there is a system. Take it in to consideration when a Rothai attacks so you know how to effectively get away. These stats apply to all Rothai.

[PTab=Notes]
This creature is a NPC. This means it can show up in your threads and you may act it out but you may not create one as a character.
These can not be cattle on your farm. They are wild creatures you see in town or the wilderness.
The stats required for everything listed in the Killing tab will change as the site progresses to reflect the stats.
Take these stats in consideration.
ONE in six (16.7%) encounters are with a youth.
FOUR in six (66.64%) encounters are with an adult.
ONE in six (16.7%) encounters are with an elder.
Enjoy!
