After her recent string of failures, Sabine was less than enthusiastic as she approached Kaleidoasis. Coming back week after week, only to leave with nothing had started to become very irritating. Her drive to try new and creative things had all but fizzled away. She showed up in her gloves once again. Finding a nice, solid patch of dirt, she began to dig. Instead of digging one giant hole like she had the first time, she decided to go with multiple small ones. After digging about six inches into the dirt, she would move on to a section she hadn’t yet tried. The process was repetitive, but it was better than digging a six foot hole and finding nothing.
Her blatant lack of emotion was obvious in the way she moved around and plopped herself down. Her digging was just average, not done with irritation or enthusiasm. She wouldn’t be surprised to again, find nothing. Why did she come back? Luck had nothing to do with finding the items in the area. It was all about the odds. The mysterious place should give people an item half the time, but so far she had received nothing after appearing three times. She wondered if something in it’s’ core was broken as she dug for the treasure that probably wasn’t there.
