Snakey things. Takes a serpentine form that can turn into jewelry. Parasite nature, latches onto host and feeds off the energy of their emotions. Some may have an emotional preference and try to get their hose to feel that emotion so they can feast on it. Can telepathically communicate with their host but their species isn't talkative, usually talking in one or two words and in odd descriptive language, similar to Saphira from Eragon. Very judgemental and condescending toward humans due to how emotional they are--viewing them as weak food more than anything. All serpent things have a partner, which latches onto another human that must be in a very involved, serious, intimate, and deep romantic relationship with the other host because the intensity of those emotions is needed for the serpents to successfully latch on and continue to survive. Most relationships are not intense enough for this bond, almost all of them being D/s and of a long history. Can telepathically communicate with their serpent partner, as well, who can in turn speak to their host, though the serpent can't speak to the partner's host directly. As said, can act as jewelry or come alive, when coming alive they retain the metallic jewel-like look but they can move and such. Jewelry can be a necklace, arm bracelet, bracelet, ring, earring, headband, crown, belt... anything with enough loop to accommodate the serpent. Serpent cannot change size, so a ring-sized one is gonna have less physical ability than a belt-sized one. Can be made of any metal and eyes can be made of any jewels. Cannot come alive if not physically touching their host. Not sure if they can or can't be removed from their host--need to be parasitic and unable to be removed BY their host for sure, otherwise hosts would always get rid of them since they kinda suck to have.
