Feel free to challenge rules or inquire why they exist by -LINK-messaging the administrator-LINK-. If challenging, be prepared to be presented our reasoning for its existence. A healthy debate is always welcome. With Alcryst as large and complex as it is, there is inevitably going to be loopholes, contradictary rules, confusing rules, or rules that perhaps shoudlnt' exist for one reason or another (outdated, stupid, whatever). We always want to work toward bettering Alcryst and are open to pruning it! Large-scale changes may be acknowledged as needed but not be acted upon immediately due to their scale and effort required to fix. Smaller changes are more likely to happen faster or be accepted. Please do not take it personally if your rule challenge is not accepted in the end; every attempt to be professional, cordial, and thorough will be made. Nothing on Alcryst is designed for personal preferences but for the best administrative reasoning and that's why it's so open-minded to suggestions. You may not want a rule actually changed, either, just want to know why it is how it is to ensure there's a good reason for it, or to make sure we're aware of it or something. If it cannot be defended, it shouldn't exist. Please allow time for a thorough reasoning to be drafted; we will let you know if we're deliberating behind the scenes and that's why you haven't received a response yet. Some deliberations will be made staff-only, some will be made by the management alone, some will be forum-wide public votes and such. Changes we've decided to for sure make but can't/won't implement yet for whatever reason will be listed here so you can see what WILL be happening, along with when we hope to implement it/them and why it/they haven't been implemented yet. You can also argue against a "planned change" listed here privately.
