Most activity checks will not affect archived accounts and in the event of a full wipe activity check, only accounts that have been archived for at least 6 months will be permanently deleted.
Characters that are not explicitly deceased by the member but are archived through an activity check or because the member did not post in the AC are considered "missing" IC, not dead
Characters that are deleted through the same means as above are considered "dead" IC but do not receive a gravegem/gravestone.
We always prefer to archive instead of delete
FROM DEATH PROCEDURES
When a character is deceased, their account is archived until the next full wipe activity check. Most standard activity checks will not affect archived accounts and in the event of a full wipe activity check, only accounts that have been archived for at least 6 months will be permanently deleted. If you would like your deceased character's account to be deleted without waiting for an activity check, you may ask staff through Invocation at any point.
Deleted characters cannot be retrieved. Their accounts are permanently erased and their posts will look like this example. If a member wishes to retrieve a deleted character, they may create a new account and repost their biography by asking for access in Invocation. Once accepted, the character may return IC but may face subjective difficulties such as a plot advancing without them or a character feeling differently about their previous relationship, as time will have passed. Post/like/thread totals, account creation dates, money, items, stats, and all other account information cannot be recovered automatically. If you would like to reinstate account information that has proof through Invocation, you may provide evidence such as links to receipts to prove items or links to posts to prove post totals. Staff will reinstate what is verifiable.
