I. To register, click on "profile" to the bottom right of the cbox.
II. Match your cbox name with your ooc account's display name.
III. Alcryst is home to any and all, so please refrain from ignoring or excluding guests and members or forming cliques.
IV. No IC soliciation or advertisement.
V. It is impolite to pressure someone into posting if it seems to make them uncomfortable. Err on the side of caution whenever unsure.
VI. To let someone know you posted for them, please tag them in your thread so they receive proper notification, rather than alerting them each time with the cbox.
VII. If you feel ignored, do your best to involve yourself in the conversation. Should you still seem excluded despite your true efforts, message a staff member or use our Grievances board so we can help ensure this doesn't happen again, to you or anyone else. A friendly community is important to us! Don't worry, we will always be discreet and professional.
VIII. We are all friends and certainly want to share with one another, but please keep awkward topics to more appropriate areas, like Palaver, an instant messenger, or private messaging, whenever possible. Though there's no black-and-white description, such conversations may be overly personal, particularly dark or depressive, uncomfortably vulgar, clearly one-sided or unappreciated, highly controversial like religion or politics, combative, exclusive, or otherwise cause a sense of tension.
IX. If a guest or new member has a question, try to cite sources when answering (such as a link to an official thread) or let a staff member handle it. We don't want incorrect information passed along!
X. Should a troll or troublemaker post in the cbox, ignore them and promptly message a staff member so we can ban them. It's key that you don't respond to them! That just feeds the nasty little creatures.
XI. Don't ask a staff member to perform a staff task through the cbox. Task requests should be made through Invocation. Feel free to alert staff when you first post a new Invocation thread, though, as they might've missed it.
The golden rule is simple:
Treat everyone with the respect you desire.
Don't pester, pressure, or push...
And treat everyone with a smile. :)
I. You may post any Alcryst-related promotions in the adbox. This includes but is not limited to: plots, roleplay threads, IC or OOC contests/games, occupational services, wanted ads, shop sales, art/code requests/sales, herds, guilds, and anything else that requires other members to participate or view.
II. The adbox may only be used for advertisement. You may not respond in the adbox nor may you discuss its content in the cbox. Feel free to make use of threads and PMs to converse on the topic.
III. Advertisements must be posted by the account most logically related to them. For example, a stand sale would be posted by the merchant's account.
IV. There is a limit of 1 post per collective advertisement, meaning you have 256 characters to convey your message and may not continue onto a 2nd post. This includes links. Note: you can remove board/thread names from the end of Alcryst URLs and they will still function so long as the ID number is intact. For example, http://alcryst.forums.net/board/1 is a functioning link despite the removal of the board name.
V. The adbox shows up to 20 posts. There may only be 1 visible post advertising the same event at a time. Therefore, you may repost the same promotion once your original post expires. You may also delete and repost your advertisement, effectively bumping it to the top, once a week at most.
VI. To delete a post, click on the X to the far right of your post. To edit one, hover your cursor over your post and select the "edit" option that appears. Deleted posts disappear immediately without confirmation and are not retrievable. Edited posts say [edited] to the left of their timestamp.
VII.Classifieds contains a comprehensive list of what may be advertised as well as additional solicitation options.

The wild tangles of Faewin's untamed oasis host stunning flowers and warm lights, glimmers of glowing silhouettes flickering through the trees. Gentle echoes of ethereal giggles and trickling streams blossom as humans enter the utopia in search of glory--objects of raw power: relics. Ancient emblems representing the deities, relics cast blanket benefits across entire guilds.
There are 4 relics, each dedicated to a specific divinity. A relic offers some form of perk to every individual character in a guild, detailed in the next tab. In addition to their base effect, each relic can be further embellished with 3 gems, called augments, that attribute their own bonuses. Therefore, a fully-fleshed relic can contain a total of 4 separate powers within it.
Augments come in levels; a level 1 augment must exist before a level 2 augment can be added. In the following tabs, the top augment is level 1 and the bottom augment is level 3.
Members are responsible for activating their own bonuses each time they are used. For example, if equipped with the power to earn 20 coins a month, it is the guildmaster's job to notify staff through Invocation to have the coins distributed. If the guildmaster neglects to post, the guild members will not receive their money. Likewise, if equipped with the power to shorten a cooldown, it is the member's job to notify staff in their exchange before the cooldown timer is posted, otherwise the responding staff member will issue the normal cooldown.
Guilds may only have 1 relic active at a time. Guildmasters can switch to a new relic by posting in Invocation, thus deactivating the previous relic and negating its effects. While it is dormant, it is still retained by the guild and can be reactivated by switching back. Relics may be swapped once a month.
Perks that have already been distributed will not be revoked if a relic is removed, guild closes, or a character leaves the guild, but all further perks will be immediately discontinued.
To forage for a relic, you must first pray in the Seraphic Cathedral to whichever god whose relic you hope to find. Next, write a 200-400 word IC post in Kaleidoasis with the label "Foraging" describing your character's hunt through the garden and include a link to your prayer. Finally, post in Invocation to alert staff. A staff member will roll a 15-sided dice to determine your result:
Dice faces 1-13: nothing
Dice face 14: relic
Dice face 15: augment
If an augment is rolled, a 2nd dice with 3 faces will choose which of the 3 augments your character will receive with the face equivalent to its level.
Guildmasters can apply relics to their guild by posting in Invocation. A staff member will then create a stickied thread in the guild's main board listing which relic the guild has activated and its applied augments, if any. Should the guildmaster post in Invocation to replace their current relic with another, the predecessor will be labeled as inactive and the successor will be added as active.
While any character may forage for a relic, even those without membership to a guild, only a guildmaster can activate a relic. Once applied, the item is removed from the holder's inventory.
Guild members can sense where the others are through mental radar; only physical locations may be discerned. If locating a character you do not own when they are not present in your thread, you must ask the roleplayer where they wish the character to be located or receive permission to decide for yourself. Characters may cloak themselves if desired to avoid detection by refusing to provide their location when prompted.
Each character can emit a mental distress call by posting in Invocation; staff will then send a PM to both the IC and OOC accounts of every guild member to alert them, allowing them to act if they deem fit.
All guild members can hear each other's companions speak telepathically when present in the same thread. They only hear what the companions intentionally say to them specifically. Though the humans cannot reply telepathically, they may respond audibly. Companions may direct their messages to individuals or to multiple guild members at once.
Relay specific mental messages between guild members as desired. An exclusive sub-board is created in the guild's main board which only guild members and administrators may access. In this board, characters may post their mental messages, tagging the IC and OOC accounts of all recipients. Only tagged characters are privy to the message IC. Mental messages are purely dialogue and do not include tone, emotion, or physical action, much like a written letter, nor will they count toward your post total or accumulate coins.
Each character may shorten 1 cooldown duration by half of its standard amount in any applicable IC interactive board.
All 4 Dakrym perks may only occur once a month within the 1 city selected by the guildmaster. Guildmasters must choose between Morrene and Faewin by posting in Invocation for staff to update their relic thread and may change their choice once during the first 7 days of each month. Guild members must inform staff that they are using their relic perk before the standard cooldown timer is posted.
Use the same IC interactive system twice without a cooldown between them. For example, if you treasure hunt in the Labyrinth, you may immediately treasure hunt again without waiting 24 hours.
Double the odds of success in any IC interactive dice roll by removing half the number of dice faces that represent nothing as a result.
Double the duration of 1 desired effect. For example, extend the potion "Species Swap" to 2 threads instead of 1. Include an OOC note in the post where the extended duration is activated and in the post where it expires.
Each member of the guild receives 20 coins per month. The guildmaster must post in Invocation within the first 7 days of the new month or they forfeit that month's allowance. When staff are notified, they will go through the guild roster and deposit the coins into the listed IC accounts; if the roster is outdated, staff will not make rectifications.
Receive 2 wishes instead of the standard 1 wish at the Amaranthine Well every full moon, as indicated in the side-table under "Live Mural."
Exemption from all taxes. When taxes are collected, the guild members are responsible for informing staff of their exemption.
Once a month, each character receives a 25% discount on the total cost of all items in 1 purchase thread in either the Underground or Caravan, as decided by the guildmaster. The guildmaster must post which shop they choose in Invocation for staff to update their relic thread and may change it once during the first 7 days of each month.
Each member of the guild receives 5 stats per month. All 5 stats will go to a specific field, chosen by the guildmaster. The guildmaster must post in Invocation within the first 7 days of the new month or they forfeit that month's upgrades. When staff are notified, they will go through the guild roster and upgrade the chosen stats for the listed IC accounts; if the roster is outdated, staff will not make rectifications.
All Rafyre perks apply to whichever stat field the guildmaster has chosen for their overall relic that month.
Increase the selected field's maximum stat limit by 5 integers per month. This does not reward any actual stats but rather stretches the capacity for how many a character may collect.
The selected stat field's current amount is temporarily increased by 25% during the duration of the full moon; stat maximum limits can be exceeded during this period. As the mini-profiles are not altered, the member must include their temporary stat amount in any applicable threads as an OOC note to inform the other participants. The 25% boost only affects threads created during the full moon but lasts until the thread is completed, regardless of the full moon ending.
For the last 7 days of every month, all stats earned in the selected field are doubled. Therefore, if you earn 1 stat upgrade through Sundry Towers, this augment will grant you 2 stat upgrades instead. Individuals are responsible for informing staff of their doubled increase in each applicable IC interactive thread. Purchased stat upgrades do not qualify.
